The CrystalSky Monitor was made for outdoor aerial imaging. The Monitor features an ultra-bright screen that makes the display clearly visible in direct sunlight. The Monitor was specifically designed for optimal efficiency with the DJI Go app, to give pilots precise control over their aircraft.
The CrystalSky Monitor is over four times as bright as any other mobile device, with a maximum of 1000 cd/m² brightness. Image composition is of high quality, details are sharp, and colours are vibrant so users can further fine tune their shots. The screen features a dedicated Sunlight Readability Enhancement mode made to process images in real-time to ensure a better viewing experience in bright conditions.

Smoother Video Display
The monitor is able to decode video in real-time for optimal video decoding. With other smart devices, there are limitations in software access which makes video decoding less ideal and when used to see footage transmitted by a camera, problems such as video jitter, and long latency can occur. With the CrystalSky monitor, real-time video is optimized for smoother video with minimal latency.
Customized System and DJI GO
With a newly designed system, the app is better resistant to viruses, and also removes unnecessary Android apps and services. These improvements ensure optimal performance of the CrystalSky Monitor. The embedded DJI Go app gives users full access to all of the apps features including aircraft parameter and footage management, camera control and playback. Offline maps can also be kept available if Wi-Fi cannot be reached.
The secondary two cell 4920 mAh external battery gives the monitor an extended operating time that is comparable to other mobile devices. The monitor supports quick charge and can control discharge rates even in low temperatures. The 7.85” screen has max operation time of 4-5 hours while the 5.5” screen has a max operation time of 6 hours.
Dual SD Card Slots
Storage on the CrystalSky monitor can be extended thanks to dual Micro SD Card slots. Footage can also be recorded on the Micro SD card to be played back right from the monitor. It can also be used for footage backups. High quality edits can also be made quickly and shared on social media instantly using editors built-in DJI Go. The monitor supports H.264 and H.265 video decoding so users can play their footage back at 30 fps and 60 fps respectively. The video can even be ouput through the HDMI port.
Ports and Network
The HDMI port on the CrystalSky monitor can allow up to 4K video to be output via FPV goggles and any other display devices. The monitor is compatible with 4G dongles and USB storage through its USB-A port. Thanks to built-in dual band Wi-FI the monitor can connect to Wi-Fi networks and hotspots from mobile devices as well. When Crystal Sky is connected to the internet, the monitor has easy access to livestreaming, photo or video sharing, system upgrades, data synchronization and more. The onboard Micro USB and USB-C ports also make it convenient to connect the monitor to a remote controller or other devices. File sizes are additionally optimized to minimize data demands.
Extreme Temperature Optimization
The CrystalSky monitor is specifically designed to perform in extreme temperatures and features an internal cooling system. The monitor can operate in temperatures as low as -20°C or -4°F.
DJI Aerial System Compatibility
The CrystalSky monitor is compatible with the Phantom 3 and 4, Inspire, Matrice and Osmo series via a remote controller USB port or over Wi-Fi depending on the specific product. The CyrstalSky monitor can also easily attach to the Cendence remote control with no additional mounting bracket needed.
