Introducing the Mavic Pro Platinum Edition
The DJI Mavic Pro is a powerful yet small drone that will turn the sky into your creative canvas. The Mavic Pro Platinum features a compact, sleek design with a modern platinum colour. The Mavic Platinum also features a 4K camera for crystal clear footage. The drone also features a new, 30-minute flight time with 60% noise reduction, giving users the quietest most enjoyable flight experience possible and making the Mavic Pro Platinum DJI’s most sophisticated, and portable drone to date.
The Mavic features brand new OcoSync transmission technology which extends the drones range to a full 7 km, and features long-range HD 720p video streaming and full HD 1080p short range streaming. With DJI’s OcuSync Transmission technology, the Mavic Platinum’s system will assess all of its environments available frequencies to quickly determine the one that will give the user the least amount of interference and the strongest overall signal.
Gimbal and Camera
The Mavic Platinum features a stabilized 3-Axis gimbal system that will cancel out any unwanted movement for shake-free, smooth video. The Mavic camera can shoot 4K video at 30 frames per second as well as full HD video at 96 frames per second. The Platinum’s camera features a minimum focus distance of just 19” which makes the drone perfect for capturing stunning aerial imagery from the skies.
The Mavic shoots high-quality 12-megapixel stills with rich colour, detail, and resolution. Pilots have the option to turn the camera 90-degrees as well for creative portrait shots. The Mavic’s camera additionally features a 28 mm f/2.2 lens and 8 second exposure time.
The Mavic Pro Platinum is compact in size but extremely stable in the air. The Mavic Pro Platinum can withstand winds and stay stable in the air in wind conditions that are up to 40 mph.
The Mavic’s newly designed ESCs apply the Field Oriented Control Technology (FOC) with a sine wave drive. With both the new FOC technology and 8331 noise reduction propellers, the noise level of the Mavic Pro Platinum is decreased by 60% compared to the Mavic Pro.
Extended Flight Time
The new Mavic Pro Platinum can additionally fly longer than its predecessor with an extended flight time of 30 minutes.
Obstacle Avoidance System
With the Mavic Pro Platinum’s obstacle avoidance The Mavic Pro Platinum features the same Forward and Downward Facing Vision system as the Mavic Pro. If the drone encounters an obstacle the aircraft will automatically stop or move to avoid the object in its path.
The Mavic collects information via 2 cameras on the bottom and top of its body, the main camera, its dual-band satellite positioning system (GPS and GLONASS), 2 ultrasonic sensors, redundant sensors, as well as 24 powerful computing cores that make a live 3D map of the environment the drone is flying in so that the aircraft knows exactly where any obstacles may appear. The drones 24 computing cores ensure that the Mavic’s system can detect and react to any obstacles faster even when the drone is flying at fast speeds.
Intelligent Flight Modes
The Mavic Pro Platinum features all of DJI’s well-known and most innovative Intelligent Flight Modes so that users can capture dynamic and creative shots with just a simple tap on their screen.
The Mavic Pro Platinum has been programmed to easily spot subjects including vehicles, people, and animals. With just a simple tap the Mavic will lock onto any given subject so pilots can track subjects easier than ever before. ActiveTrack has three different modes.
Spotlight: In Spotlight Mode, pilots can have the drone lock onto a particular subject while they are still able to fly freely.
Trace: In Trace Mode, pilots can select an object and have the drone follow it either in front or behind it.
Profile: In Profile, users can have their drone follow alongside the subject’s profile.
In Tripod Mode pilots can have their drone slow down to a speed of only 2 mph as well as have the joystick's sensitivity lowered for more precise, smoother shots.
If pilots want to speed through the skies, the Mavic Pro Platinum can reach a top speed of 40 mph in Sports Mode. This mode is ideal for drone racing, or for when shooting extremely fast-moving subjects.
In Terrain Follow, the Mavic will use height information collected by its ultrasonic sensors and downward facing camera to stay the exact same height above the ground while flying or shooting. In Terrain Follow Mode users can have their Mavic adjust to a specific altitude and have the drone stay at that exact level to make capturing the perfect shot that much easier.
With TapFly users can have their drone fly in any specific direction that they tap on their screen.
Edit and Share
Straight from the DJI Go 4 App, users can select from a variety of video editing templates and filters to quickly edit their footage and upload it to any preferred social media channel including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and More.
Intelligent Flight Batteries
The Mavic Pro features an intelligent flight battery system that will take into account the drone batteries remaining voltage. Temperature and more to calculate the Mavic’s remaining flight time. The drone also features effective battery management that will prevent overcharging and over draining. If the batteries are placed in long-term storage the batteries will automatically discharge to 50% to maintain better health. When flying in cold conditions, the Mavic battery will activate low-temperature detection that will detect the available power based on the temperature of the battery.
