Introducing the Mavic Air
The DJI Mavic Air is the newest edition to the DJI lineup, featuring an innovative compact design, and brand new features that prove that when it comes to state-of-the-art drone technology, the sky is the limit.
The Mavic Air is specially designed to be able to go anywhere your aerial adventure takes you and features the best design features and functionality of the now infamous Mavic Pro. The Mavic Air features all new flight and shooting modes, improved safety features, and the most advanced technology available on the market to allow drone enthusiasts of any level to explore the airways with ease.
Foldable, Compact Design
Extremely light and compact, the Mavic Air is exceptionally nimble in the air without sacrificing stability. The Mavic Air features a striking, compact and industrial design for the perfect union of form and function. The Mavic Air features 3 different colour options including Arctic White, Flame Red, and Onyx Black.
Drone pilots will be able to have plenty of time in the air to capture the perfect shot with 21 minutes of maximum flight time. The Mavic Air is also capable of reaching a maximum transmission range of 4 km, as well as a max speed of 68 km/h.
Advanced 3-Axis Gimbal
The Mavic Air is the most compact and portable DJI drone to feature a 3-Axis mechanical gimbal. The Mavic Air’s gimbal system is designed in a triangular formation, with gimbal dampeners enabling users to take even steadier shots. The 3-Axis gimbal system has also had its angular vibration range reduced to 0.005°.
Stunning Camera Quality
The Mavic Air can capture amazing video at 4K 30 fps while recording at 100 Mbps so that every moment is captured in UHD quality. Mavic Air pilots can also capture any high-speed adventure, thanks to the Mavic Air’s ability to record full HD 1080p 120 fps slow motion video.
Users will be able to capture works of art from the airways thanks to the Mavic Air’s onboard 12-megapixel camera with a 1/2.3” CMOS sensor, and f/2.8 lens with a 35 mm equivalent focal length of 24 mm.
360-Degree Panorama Mode
The Mavic Air features a new and improved Panorama Mode. Users can capture stunning 360-degree photos with just a simple tap of a button, in addition to Vertical, Horizontal, and 180° panoramas. For an even more immersive experience, pilots can view their crystal-clear Sphere panorama with the DJI Goggles.
The Mavic Air can help to capture the perfect exposure settings intelligently according to the environmental lighting conditions. Any dark or overexposed areas are processed to have more natural transitions between shadows and highlights.
3 Directional Environmental Sensing
With numerous environmental sensing cameras, users can fly through the skies with peace of mind. The Mavic Air features front and back obstacle avoidance sensors, the Mavic Air can detect obstacles smarter, and faster than ever before for increased safety. The Mavic Air features the FlightAutonomy 2.0 system which includes the primary camera, forward-facing, downward-facing, and back-facing sensors, a downward infrared sensing system, a group of computing cores, as well as IMU redundancies.
Foldable Remote Controller
The Remote Controller is as sleek and compact as the Mavic Air itself. The remote features removable control sticks that can be stored directly inside the remote for a more portable and low-profile design on the go.
8 GB of Internal Storage
The Mavic Air features 8 GB of internal storage in addition to its onboard Micro SD Card Slot so that users can save their photos and videos directly onto the aircraft.
New and Improved ActiveTrack Mode
The Mavic Air’s ActiveTrack Mode now allows for multiple object detection, for much more flexibility when it comes to object tracking. ActiveTrack can now detect up to 16 selectable subjects simultaneously, and with improved tracking precision, ActiveTrack can now follow any target whether they are cycling, running, or jumping.
Six QuickShot Modes
Users can choose between six different QuickShot Modes including Helix, Asteroid, Boomerang, Rocket, Dronie, and Circle all with the simple tap of a button. Any creation can then be easily shared on a variety of social media channels directly from the DJI Go 4 App.
